We are going to take volunteers for all of these committes and then for most of those committees we are going to select Chairs for those committees out of the people who are interested.
The commitees are as follows:
Tiffin Committee: This committee will be Chaired by our Tiffin Mistress, Leah Ransom. It will be responsible for aiding her in organizing all of Tiffin parties.
Convention/Panel: This committee will be responsible for organizing the conventions that we attend as a group and the panels or tables that we might do at any given convention. This committee will also be involved in communicating with con organizers and being the liason between them and our society.
Workshop: This committee will be Chaired by Martha Colhoun. The committee will be responsible for organizing the workshop and the subject matter thereof. Tasks will include taking suggestions from members for different workshops, running certain workshops and making sure that we have enough materials to facilitate theworkshops.
Event: This committee will be responsible for organizing our group run events. Things like our Easter event will be handled by this committtee from here on out.
Fundraising: This committee will be responsible for gathering funds for the group, be it from merchandising sales or any things else that they can come up with in order to grow our nest egg for the group. This group will work closely with the Swag group.
Swag: This committee will be responsible for producing merchandise for the group ie: t-shirts and other things that include our logo. Things that will promote our group. This group will work closely with the fundraising group.
Social Media/Advertising: This group will be in charge of managing our social media accounts and keeping them all updating about our events and things that are coming up. The group will also be responsible for producing promotional materials for the group, such as flyers and business cards. The social media group will also be the main contacts for electonic and written publications, and for people in the community who reach out to us for any reason.
LARP: Chaired by Alex, this group will be responsible for A: The character workshops and B: Organizing LARPing events.
We need people especially for the Swag, Social Media/Advertising and Fundraising committees.
If anyone wants to volunteer to chair any of the committees, let me know that as well.
Once we get the committees set up, the business meetings will now be limited to the chairs of each of the committees and we will then have several looser social events as Meet-and-Greets for people to get to know each other at.
